Which cover is right for you?

Marine Cargo

QBE has developed market leading cargo insurance products to support New Zealand exporters and importers. We offer protection on both an annual and single transit basis, providing worldwide protection for goods in transit by sea, land or air. We can tailor cover based on your shipment's Terms of Trade and our international network means we can often expedite a situation with local representation in each country.

Cargo Plus and Cold Cargo, which are unique in the New Zealand marketplace, automatically providing Loss of Profits cover in addition to the usual protection you would expect.

Single Transit Cargo policies are a great way to stay covered without the expense of a full annual open cover. Our Single Transit policies are aimed at people who have one-off sendings and are also ideal for exporters/importers who have:

  • unusual cargo that doesn't fit within the description of 'regular shipments' in their annual policy; or
  • goods being shipped to/from destinations outside their normal trading patterns.
